Librarian of the Year - 2023

On November 15, 2023, in St. Petersburg, the results were tallied and the winners of the 10th jubilee all-Russian competition, “Librarian of the Year - 2023,” were awarded.

The founder of the Competition is the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The organizer is the Russian National Library and the co-organizer is the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture. The competition is held with the support of the Russian Library Association.

In a solemn atmosphere, the winners of the competition were announced and awarded cash prizes:

— the primary nomination for, “Librarian of the Year - 2023,” was awarded to Anna Pavlovna Gurcheva, leading methodologist of the Sayanogorsk Centralized Library System, Sayanogorsk, Republic of Khakassia;

— the additional category, “Best Young Librarian of the Year,” was awarded to Irina Mikhailovna Maksimenko, chief librarian of the Library of Urban History of the Municipal Information and Library System of Kemerovo;

— the nomination for students of higher educational institutions, “Library of the Future: The Perspective of the Young,” was awarded to Maria Aleksandrovna Valueva, a third-year student of the Library and Information Department of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture;

— the nomination for students of secondary vocational education institutions, “My Choice is the Library!” was awarded to Anastasia Olegovna Chistyakova, second-year student majoring in Library Science at the St. Petersburg College of Library and Information Technologies.

The winners of additional prizes for the competition were also announced and awarded.
