In December 5-9th, 2011 a training seminar on a theme «Subject processing of documents» was held for librarians from republican libraries of Tatarstan. The training was led by the members of department of processing and catalogs of the Russian National Library – Nikoltseva N.P., managing the sector of arrangement and subject cataloguing and Pavlenko Е.А., managing the group of equipment. The listeners of seminar were 17 librarians from the National Library of Republic of Tatarstan, the Central Library of Kazan, the Republican Library for Youth, the Republican Special Library for blind, and the Republican Children's Library. A goal of the seminar was the training of library staff to subject processing of documents. Lectures and the practical training which was held on the basis of National library of Tatarstan was directed on studying the technique of subject cataloguing which underlies a substantial processing of documents. The training seminar became one more action in work on perfection of informational system «Joint electronic library catalog of Republic of Tatarstan».
