Central Library Opened in Kukmor After Major Repairs

 On November 11, 2020, a notable event took place in the cultural life of the Kukmorsky municipal district of Tatarstan, the Central Library was opened after major repairs.

 During the renovation of the library, the floor, ceiling, doors and windows were renewed, and the lighting and heating system, etc, were replaced. Also, funds allocated by the district administration were used to re-equip the library, organize access to electronic library systems, and purchase interior items in accordance with the developed design project.

 Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, the district administration, honorary guests, and representatives of the media took part in the special events on this occasion.

 The residents of the region were heartily congratulated on this significant event by the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Lenar Khakimzyanov, Deputy Director of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan for scientific and methodological work, Irek Khadiev.

 The head of the Kukmor municipal district, Sergei Dimitriev, in his speech, noted the large amount of work carried out in the region regarding federal and republican programs, and spoke about attention to community centers, including the updated library.  Sergey Dimitriev also expressed gratitude to the President of Tatarstan for support and assistance in improving the library.  “I would like readers to come here willingly, to be spiritually enlightened,” he said.

 According to the director of the Centralized Library System of the Kukmorsky Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan, Resida Kasimova, the local population willingly visits the library.  She noted that all the conditions for good relaxation, spiritual education, and enlightenment have been created in the updated library.
