Tatarstan became a laureate of the, "Most Well-Read Region," competition

The All-Russian competition, "Most Well-Read Region," was created by the Russian Book Union, with the support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, in order to identify the most significant achievements and experiences, encourage the contribution of regions to the development of literary life in the country, and to support success in increasing the accessibility of reading for our citizens.

Tatarstan became a laureate of the, “Most Well-Read Region,” competition from the decision of the jury and organizers of the competition. Tatarstan was added to the list of the best regions of the country and became one of the three laureates of the competition.  The organizers noted the Tatarstan project, "Letter to the author of a favorite book," a competition of letters, appeals to children, adolescents and children's writers in the region.

St. Petersburg and the Astrakhan region also became laureates.

Yakutia was named the winner of the competition, "Most Well-Read Region,” in 2020.  Yakutia received the title, “Literary Flagship of Russia.”
