The results of the republican competitions in the field of librarianship were tallied up at the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The results of the republican competitions, awarding the prizes of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of librarianship, for "Leader" and "Creative Search," have been decided. 

 On July 21, 2020, a meeting of the organizing committee was held, which included representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as all the largest libraries of the republic: The National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, The Republican Youth Library, The Republican Children's Library, and The Republican Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired.  The main organizer of awarding prizes is the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Both awards were established in 2000 in order to develop the creative and innovative work of librarians, to encourage their professional activities based on preserving the best traditions and promoting the influence of the library of the republic.  “The Leader Prize,” is awarded to one of the centralized library systems of Tatarstan at the end of the calendar year for creating a model of a modern library system that reflects the real needs of society, effective and high-quality library services for the population, improvement and development of library services, and raising the social status of libraries among the population.  “The Creative Search Prize,” is awarded for the development and implementation of innovations in the activities of libraries with the nominations “Central Library”, “City Library”, and, “Rural Library.”

 At the end of 2019, the organizing committee received twenty-eight applications from nineteen centralized library systems (3 for the Leader Award, 25 for Creative Search).

 The Leader Prize was awarded to the Arsk centralized library system, municipal budgetary institution of the Arsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan, for achieving intensive development of library activities, the introduction of innovative forms of work, updating the material and technical aspects of the libraries, and active efforts to develop and preserve the national culture.

 Laureates of the Creative Search Award:

 Nomination "Central Library":

  •  Central Library "Centralized Library System of Kazan" for the development and implementation of the PR project "Let's Go to the Library".

 Nomination "City Library":

  • City Children’s  Library- branch No. 6 "Centralized Library System of Nizhnekamsk" for projects regarding the development and education of children with,  "Rainbow Mosaic", "Dreamers", "School of Smart People and Smart Women," and “World of Hobbies,” a hobby workshop.

Nomination "Rural Library":

  •  Verkhne-Subashskaya rural library-branch №8, “Baltasin Intersettlement Central Library,” for the development and implementation of a project to attract readers, "Reading & Our Minds, Thoughts, and How We Live.”

 By decision of the organizing committee, letters of gratitude for the development of innovative activities were awarded to:

  •  Central Library "Intersettlement Central Library," of the Bugulma Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan.
  •  Kryndinskaya rural library-branch №17 "Agryz centralized library system".
