The annual meeting of the directors of the republican and municipal libraries of the Republic of Tatarstan took place

On April 15, 2019, the annual meeting of the directors of the republican and municipal libraries of the Republic of Tatarstan took place. The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan acted as organizers of this event.

Representatives of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, and heads of the republican libraries and directors of the centralized library systems of the republic took part in the meeting. At the meeting discussion about these subjects took place: "Effective Library," with participation of representatives of the Russian Library Association, the Russian State Library for Youth, the Central Youth City Library (Moscow), and the Kazan State Institute of Culture.

With a welcoming speech, the chairman of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan addressed the issues of training,  culture, science and ethnic questions, with the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, Razil Ismagilovich Valeev.

Discussion about, "The Effective Library," was opened by the first deputy minister of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Julius Ildarovna Adgamova.

Irina Borisovna Mikhnova, a candidate of pedagogical sciences, the director of the Russian State Library for Youth, and the vice-president of the Russian Library Association (Moscow), talked about the concept of  modernization of the municipal libraries of the Russian Federation on the basis of modeling standards of activity of the public libraries. Various concepts of libraries in the cities of Helsinki and Amsterdam were thus considered.

Anton Aleksandrovich Purnik, a candidate of economic sciences and the head of the control center for innovative development of the Russian State Library for Youth (Moscow), imparted his experiences with creating a digital environment for digital generation in the Russian State Library for Youth.

The doctor of pedagogical sciences and acting rector of the Kazan State Institute of Culture, Rosa Shaykhaydarovna Akhmadiyeva (Kazan), informed the audience about the problems and prospects of training specialists in the library and information sphere at the Kazan State Institute of Culture.

Christina Vitalyevna Chukalina, the deputy director of the Central Youth City Library of M.A. Svetlov (Moscow) opened the discussion of modern registration of library space, methodical work, projects and actions, and monitoring events of the city library network.

Irada Hafizyanovna Ayupova, the minister of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, acted as the moderator of the second part of discussion. During the presentation she touched on topical issues about the formation of the modern library according to the five concepts: creativity, communication, cooperation, capitalization, and competence.

Representatives of the library community of the republic actively joined in the discussion. There were performances by colleagues from the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, from the Elabuzhsky, Tukayevsky, Aksubayevsky, Chistopolsky regions of Tatarstan.

As a whole, substantial dialogue by people united by a common cause and having common goals took place. Summing up the discussion, Irada Hafizyanovna Ayupova expressed a wish to meet more often in a similar format. The Moscow guests noted with gratitude the benevolent atmosphere of the meeting, efficiency of the work done and expressed confidence in the successful development of library science in the Republic of Tatarstan.
