The international competition #ПушкинLike: We read Pushkin in the languages of the people of the world.

BookPalace– The V.I Lenin Ulyanovsk Regional Scientific Library hosts the international competition #PushkinLike: we read Pushkin in the languages of the people of the world for the 220th anniversary of the birth of the Russian poet, Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. The competition hopes to rally representatives of different nationalities, citizens ofRussia, and other states, around traditional values – love of literary heritage and the best traditions of the past – and to produce creative dialogue between cultures for a brighter shared future.

Recitation of the works of A.S. Pushkin (or their fragments) are accepted for competition videos. The only stipulation is that recitation is set against historical and cultural sights of cities and countries. Filming at places related to Pushkin and at literary museums and monuments to A.S. Pushkin is welcomed.

Competitive works are accepted until September 1, 2019. It is necessary to fill out the questionnaire and to present a reference to a video on YouTube. Winners will be declared in September of 2019 during the celebration of the 220th anniversary of A.S. Pushkin, in the city ofUlyanovsk.

The library judges will choose from poetry read by people from many different countries (from the age of 14 years). Read your favorite Pushkin lines in your native language – Russian, Tatar, Udmurt,Chuvash, Mordovian, Komi, English, German, French, Polish, Azerbaijani, etc. Also, do not forget to share your creativity on social networks with one of the hashtags: #PushkinLike, #ПушкиíLike, #Пушкинлайк, #ВремяЧитатьПушкина.
