Mukhammet Sungatovich Magdeev (1930 - 1995) was a literary scholar, Tatar national writer, winner of the Tatarstan State Prize named after G. Tukai. for the works "A man leaves– a song remains", "Where the cranes nest", "Farewell". M. Magdeev – Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR (1983). In 1993, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan M.Shaimiev, he was awarded the title of "People's Writer of the Republic of Tatarstan". "The singer of his native land" is what critics called him. M.Magdeev writes with exceptional warmth and love about the village and its people, does not hide their weaknesses and shortcomings. He is the author of about a dozen novels and novellas. M. Magdeev's works are still among the most widely read among Tatars. A book exhibition will be organized in the Kuzkeevskaya rural library."
