"Strong in spirit"

Today, the students of Lyceum N14 gathered to talk about kindness and mercy, about the attitude of our society towards people with disabilities. We listened to the history of the International Day of the Disabled, who are the "special people" and why they are called that, about the problems faced by people with disabilities. The guys were actively involved in the conversation, discussing what actions can be considered merciful, and what kind of good deeds they themselves have done or can do. We also heard about people who have achieved great success in life despite their illnesses: blind musicians, artists, famous figures of science and culture, our Paralympians. Further, the young participants of the event were offered several practical exercises to feel for themselves how difficult it is for people with disabilities to do something that is not difficult for a healthy person.
