"Profession-MIME"

The year of theatre in our library continues. This time the seventh graders got acquainted with such a theatrical direction as pantomime. Thanks to reference books and explanatory dictionaries, the children found out the meaning of this term, learned that this art developed in the early 20th century in France. Wonderful professional video productions "Life" and "Gift" prompted students to actively discuss the deep meaning of pantomimes. Lyceum students tried to perform the well-known "stenochku". This event showed the profound essence of such a seemingly playful genre as pantomime.
