On November 22, Russia celebrates the Day of Dictionaries and Encyclopedias. This is the birthday of Vladimir Dahl, the creator of the Explanatory Dictionary of the living Great Russian language. Dictionaries deserve their own holiday, and there is no more suitable date for this in Russia than the birthday of V.I. Dahl.

On this day, the library will host a book exhibition "They know everything!", which will plunge into the world of the history of the formation of dictionaries, introduce the biography of the founders of Russian dictionaries V. I. Dahl and S. I. Ozhegov. Visitors to the exhibition will also learn about the rules for searching for information in dictionaries and encyclopedias.
