The St. George Ribbon is a symbol of Victory

On April 24, 2026, the patriotic All-Russian campaign "St. George Ribbon" will be launched throughout the country. The purpose of this campaign is to foster a respectful attitude among citizens towards one of the symbols of Russia's military glory - the St. George Ribbon, which represents the heroism, courage, and resilience of the people of our Fatherland, as well as the feats of the defenders of the Fatherland during military operations and other combat missions or duties related to the defense of the Fatherland. The St. George Ribbon is a symbol of the heroism, valor, and glory of the defenders of the Fatherland. Each stripe — black as the smoke of war, orange as the flame of victory — reminds us of the thousands of lives lost for our future. Carrying it close to our hearts is a way of saying, "I remember! I am proud!" The Staroabdulovskaya rural library will join the All-Russian patriotic campaign "St. George Ribbon," distributing St. George ribbons to readers and residents of the village, which is held annually in the spring, ahead of Victory Day.
