Children's Day is an international day dedicated to raising awareness about the rights and well-being of children around the world. The main goal of this day is to remind us that every child needs love, care, and protection from violence, exploitation, and all forms of discrimination. Protecting children's rights is not an abstract concept; it is a daily responsibility of governments, civil society organizations, and every adult. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted in 1989, has become the foundation for national legislation, and June 1 is an opportunity to review the effectiveness of these norms in practice.
