Chernobyl is a city in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Vyshgorodsky district of the Kiev region of Ukraine. It is located on the Pripyat River, near its confluence with the Kiev reservoir. It is a protected area and is protected by law.
On April 26, 1986, an accident occurred at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Experts from all over the world are still eliminating the consequences of the largest disaster in the history of the peaceful atom.
In memory of this tragic event, the library will host an interactive book exhibition with the opportunity to view presentations about the tragedy, photos and videos about how the city looked then and now.
