World Water Day is celebrated annually on March 22.
The purpose of the holiday is to remind the inhabitants of the Earth of the importance of such a resource as water, and that only careful treatment and rational use will avoid an environmental disaster.
One of the most important tasks of the holiday is to inform society about the importance of preserving water resources and careful management of them; to unite the efforts of states, international organizations, businesses, as well as individuals to improve the quality of fresh water and achieve balance through conferences, seminars, and thematic exhibitions.
