Santa Claus, in the Russian Christmas and Soviet New Year rituals, is the main mythological character personifying the holiday, bringing a Christmas tree and giving gifts to children. He looks like a kind old wizard with a white beard, in a long white sheepskin coat (unlike the red clothes of Western Christmas characters), belted with a sash, in a hat and felt boots.

 

An educational hour for the birthday of Santa Claus will be held in the Betka village Library, where visitors will be told where this fairy-tale character came from, where his homeland is, etc..
