Book exhibition "Mother Tongue, be friends with me"

 

 The International Mother Tongue Day is celebrated on February 21. It was established on November 17, 1999 at the 30th General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The language of each nation is distinctive and reflects the mentality and traditions of the nation.

 

International Mother Tongue Day is an unusual but very important holiday. The holiday is aimed at protecting languages that are disappearing, as well as raising awareness about linguistic and cultural traditions.

In the school library, Elizaveta Vasilyevna, the librarian, and Olga Sergeevna, the advisor, have prepared a book exhibition "My Native Language, Be Friends with Me" for this significant date, which is dedicated to the International Day of the Mother Tongue. The exhibition features dictionaries, reference books, and other literature that can help in learning the language. 

 

 The book exhibition includes publications on the history of the mother tongue and speech culture, as well as various dictionaries, reference books, and encyclopedias dedicated to the mother tongue.
