"In Honor of the Great Tukay: On the 140th Anniversary of the Poet"

This year marks the 140th anniversary of the birth of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay (1886-1913). In Tatarstan, 2026 has been officially declared the Year of Gabdulla Tukay.

To mark this occasion, the library will host a book exhibition. It will feature the poet's lifetime publications, translations of his works into Russian and other languages, research on his work, and illustrations of his fairy tales and poems. A separate section will be dedicated to Tukay's influence on Tatar literature. The exhibition will include rare archival photos, manuscripts, and materials about the poet's life.
