On February 15, 2025, the Republic of Tatarstan celebrates the 119th anniversary of the birth of the Soviet Tatar poet, Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil. Library visitors will be able to discover the poet's multifaceted personality, learn about his work, the underground activities of the Idel-Ural Legion during the Great Patriotic War and his tragic death in the dungeons of the Plettsensee prison. The presentation video materials will tell in more detail the story of the appearance of the cycle of manuscripts "The Moabit notebook", which survived in prison dungeons and became a truly national treasure and a symbol of the poet's fortitude. At the end of the evening, an excerpt of the feature film "The Moabite Notebook" will be shown, the footage of which will tell about the heroism of Musa Jalil, who wrote poetry filled with patriotism and courage.
