On November 14, the Library and Information Center No. 1 invites you to an hour of reflection called "Learning to Understand Each Other," which is dedicated to the International Day of Tolerance. On November 16, the world celebrates the International Day of Tolerance. It was on this day in 1995 that UNESCO member states adopted the Declaration of Principles on Tolerance. Tolerance is the acceptance and respect of others, regardless of their physical, cultural, or social characteristics. In the conversation, participants will discuss what tolerance is and why it is important, examine examples of tolerance in everyday life, and talk about how to treat people with different cultures, religions, or simply different perspectives on life. Readers will participate in the game "What Do We Have in Common?" and answer questions from the quiz "Understand Me."
