The "Library System" Competition

The "Sistema" Charitable Foundation, the Russian State Library, and MTS, have announced the launch of the "Library System"—an all-Russian competition designed to support library professionals and library projects in rural settlements, as well as in small and medium-sized towns.

The goal of the competition is to support best practices among library professionals, enhance the prestige of the library profession, and facilitate the implementation of innovative initiatives that contribute to the development of local communities. Particular emphasis is placed on projects that expand access to knowledge, engage new audiences, and address the specific social needs of their respective regions. Employees (individuals) and public libraries (legal entities) located in rural settlements, as well as small and medium-sized cities in Russia (with populations of up to 100,000), are eligible to participate in the contest.
