Children's Book Week Begins March 22nd
Children's Book Week is an annual all-Russian event aimed at popularizing children's literature. In 2025, Children's Book Week will be held under the motto, "A Story with a Continuation," and will be dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland. During spring break, book lovers across the country will once again be treated to a marathon of events: lectures, master classes, interactive readings, and presentations of new books.
The online program of Children's Book Week has four thematic sections. "For Children,” is for those who want to attend a concert by Andrei Usachev, play word games, and find a new favorite book. "For Teenagers," is for reaching for the stars with the Moscow Planetarium, learning all about the capybara, or getting to know new fantasy books. "Parents and Specialists," listen to lectures by psychologists and children's reading specialists and bibliographers. "Regions of Russia,” readers will be able to meet with writers and artists from different cities and listen to poems and fairy tales.
