On August 30, residents of Tatarstan celebrate the birth of their statehood — the Day of the Formation of the Republic. On this day in 1990, the Supreme Soviet of the Republic adopted the declaration on the state sovereignty of the Tatar SSR. The Day of the Republic of Tatarstan is a national holiday that unites all residents of the region. It is planned to organize a book exhibition for the Republic Day. It will feature books and periodicals reflecting the history, multinational culture and traditions of the peoples of Tatarstan, its symbols.
