The Siege of Leningrad is the period of the siege of the city of Leningrad in the Great Patriotic War. The Road of Life is the only transport highway through Lake Ladoga. It connected the besieged Leningrad with the country. It made it possible to transport food and other vital things. Besieged Leningrad fought for life for 872 days. Daily bombardments and terrible famine did not break its inhabitants, the city continued to live and fight.

The siege of Leningrad is one of the most difficult and tragic pages in the history of the Great Patriotic War. It is planned to hold a thematic hour about this historical event. The younger generation should know about the blockade, about the war and do everything so that the war does not happen again.
