On January 24, 2026, it will be 250 years since the birth of Ernest Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann. 

 

 Like many wise storytellers, he enters our lives from childhood, primarily as the author of "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King." And he gradually grows up with us, revealing in fairy-tale plots, behind the wild play of imagination, a subtle knowledge of the human heart, a sad smile at the imperfections of the world, and a sincere longing for the true life of the spirit. It was he who made science fiction a way of understanding reality, and suggested that we look at the familiar world with a new perspective. This will help us understand what is important and what is false and vain.
