"Singer in the truth of the people"

On the occasion of the 190th anniversary of the birth of the great writer Lev Tolstoy, a book exhibition devoted to the creative legacy of the pillar of Russian literature "The Singer to the People's Truth" was organized in the library. In Russian literature there is no other writer whose work would be so difficult and so diverse. Over the years, interest in Tolstoy has not weakened, but, on the contrary, is growing more and more. A special role in the exhibition is given to the Kazan period of the writer's biography. Kazan occupies an important place in the life and work of the great Russian writer, thinker Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy (1828 - 1910). Almost six years (from 1841 to 1847) he spent in Kazan.
The exhibition consists of three sections:
1. "The Light of Yasnaya Polyana"
2. "Kazan:" Raisin-time "
3. "Leo Tolstoy: time to read and admire"
At the exhibition, readers can get acquainted with biographical books about the life and work of Lev Nikolaevich and his famous works.
     On the opening day at the shelves of the book exhibition with visitors, discussions were held about the writer's life, about his works read earlier. They were recommended for reading books on the topic. 21 people visited the exhibition.
