The idol of the century

An exhibition entitled “The Idol of the Century” was arranged in the library’s reading room, which introduces our readers to the Soviet and Russian theater and film actors. The full holder of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" by Vladimir Mikhailovich Zeldin, who on February 7 turned 105 years old.
Many literary works became the basis for films in which the outstanding actor V.M. Zeldin, and their screen versions fell in love with entire generations of viewers.
A bibliographic review of the most popular works was performed at the exhibition, in the film adaptations of which the actor starred. Those present with pleasure competed in the quiz “Guess the shot from the movie” on the photo frames presented on the thematic shelf.
The exhibition attracted the attention of those present, since literature and cinema are closely interconnected and are an integral part of modern culture.
