May 24, Russia celebrated the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture. This is a celebration of enlightenment, native words, native books, native culture and literature. Throughout the day, the library hosted events dedicated to this memorable date.
Library workers presented a selection of books on the history of Russian culture, on the development of Slavic literature from ancient times to the present day, and on the pivotal role of the enlighteners Cyril and Methodius in the creation of the Slavic alphabet.
Librarians in a warm and friendly atmosphere told the branch visitors about the history of the celebration of the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture. During the event, the readers were shown the films "Dedicated to the Russian word ..." and "Cyrillic".
