"Libraries and Readers, Books and Texts in the Digital Age"

The National Library of Russia and the Russian Library Association invite you to take part in the all-Russian scientific and practical conference, "Libraries and Readers, Books and Texts in the Digital Age,” which will be held December 4-5th, at the National Library of Russia.

We invite specialists from all types and kinds of libraries, as well as other specialists studying the specifics of reading and reading activities and library services.

Discussion topics:

  • State policy in the field of support and popularization of reading;
  • Promotion and study of reading;
  • Books, reading, and the library in the digital world;
  • The modern reader: preferences, motivation, choice of formats;
  • The library as a center for supporting books and reading.

Possible formats of participation in the conference: in-person, remote (video report or online connection), and poster presentations. Participation in the conference is free. There is no registration fee. Travel expenses are at the expense of the participating party.

Registration of participants will open on the website of the National Library of Russia on September 2nd and will last until November 25th. Submission of applications for participation with a report will end on November 11th.
