January 27 is the Day of Military Glory of Russia — the day of the end of one of the most brutal confrontations of the Great Patriotic War. On this day in 1944, the blockade of Leningrad, which lasted 900 days and nights, was broken and lifted. Visitors of the exhibition will learn that the Battle for Leningrad became one of the most important battles of the Second World War and the longest during the Great Patriotic War, became a symbol of courage and dedication of the defenders of the city. Neither the terrible hunger, nor the cold, nor the constant artillery shelling and bombing did not break the will of the defenders and residents of the besieged city. The exhibition presents documentary literature, memoirs of the blockade participants, posters reflecting the life of besieged Leningrad, books about these terrible days, about the indomitable strength of spirit and faith in life.
