Currently, Book Day is celebrated in more than one hundred countries by millions of people united in hundreds of different associations, it is celebrated in schools, government agencies, professional organizations and private enterprises. Over this long period of time, World Book and Copyright Day has made a large number of people from different cultures on all continents friends of books; it also contributed to strengthening copyright protection.
