“The Day of Teachers and All Preschool Workers” was established on the initiative of a number of all-Russian pedagogical publications on September 27, 2004. It was supported by the authors of most major preschool programs, kindergarten teachers and many parents.

The idea of this holiday is to help society pay more attention to kindergarten and preschool childhood in general.

The holiday arose as a public, folk, amateur holiday. But soon the holiday of September 27 was celebrated in all regions of the Russian Federation. And now the celebration of “Teacher and All Preschool Workers Day” is taking place at the official level.
