The year 2024 marks the 460th anniversary of the birth of the English poet and playwright William Shakespeare. He is the most published author in the world. In terms of circulation, his works are in second place after the Bible. William Shakespeare is the author of 37 plays, 154 sonnets and several poems. His plays have been translated into almost all languages of the world, they are performed on thousands of stages, new theatrical productions and film adaptations are constantly appearing.

In honor of Shakespeare's anniversary, the library will host a book exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the great English poet. The exhibition will feature books dedicated to Shakespeare's biography, his work and the works of the writer.
