Interest in national history determined all of Fattah's further work. In 1969, his novel "Itil suy aka Torur" was published, in which the period of formation of Volga Bulgaria, its adoption of Islam in the early tenth century are artistically recreated. Describing the way of life, customs and traditions of distant ancestors, Fattah uses a lot of ethnographic details. An important feature of his artistic manner is the appeal to the myth, the use of folklore material, elements of the vocabulary of the ancient Turkic language.

The Krugopolskaya Library will host a book exhibition dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the writer's birth.
