On August 25, 1944, starting at 12:06 a.m. with an interval of three minutes, a group of 11 Tatars was executed by guillotine in the Nazi Plettsensee prison by the verdict of the Imperial Court held in February 1944. They organized underground resistance to the enemy, distributed leaflets, established contacts with the partisans in order to connect with the units of the Red Army. These patriots from among the Soviet military prisoners went down in history as the "Jalil group". Its leader was G. Kurmash, and the ideological inspirer was the poet M. Jalil.
