"Honey Saved"

Set a reminder:   /   Upload to calendar

Every year on August 14, Orthodox Christians celebrate a church holiday - Honey Savior. In another way, it is also called Poppy, the First, Wet Savior, or even a Savior on the water. In Russia, it was believed that on this day of the Honey Savior it was necessary to collect all the honey: if this was not done, it would be dragged away by other bees. And yet the main content of the holiday is connected with its Orthodox religious component. The very name "Spas" reminds the Orthodox of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, and the firmness of faith in him.

An information hour of the history and traditions of this holiday will be held in the Krugopol village Library.
