Krugopolskaya Library invites readers to a review exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the breakthrough of the siege of Leningrad. At the end of 1942, I.V. Stalin proposed the name of the operation — "Spark", explaining that all attempts to break through the blockade ended in failure, and now a "flame" should ignite from this spark. The date of readiness for the operation was set for January 1, 1943. They took almost a month to prepare the operation, during which the troops deployed comprehensive preparations for the upcoming offensive. During a complex operation on January 18, 1943, the siege of Leningrad was broken.
