On May 15, Russia celebrates International Day of Families, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1993. The establishment of this day was caused by the concern of the world community about the modern situation of the family and its importance in the life of society and in the education of the younger generation. The book exhibition organized in the Komsomolsk Rural Library is dedicated to this significant date. The exhibition is presented in two sections. The first is “The wisdom of books can unite a family,” which presents fiction about the lives of different families, with their joys and difficulties. The second is “Reading to children. Reading with children,” where the works of the best writers for children are included.
