Cosmonautics Day is celebrated on April 12 – the anniversary of the first human spaceflight. The holiday was established in April 1962, a year after Yuri Gagarin landed. Cosmonautics Day received its international status in 1968 at a conference of the International Aviation Federation. And in March 1995, Russia adopted a federal law that fixed Cosmonautics Day as a memorable date. On this day, we are holding a drawing contest with children in kindergarten.“
