On April 11, the International Day of Liberation of Prisoners of Nazi Concentration Camps is celebrated worldwide, established in memory of the international uprising in Buchenwald. On this day in 1945, the prisoners of the concentration camp rebelled and held it until the arrival of Allied troops. In 1958, a complex of buildings dedicated to the heroes and victims of Buchenwald was opened here. In April 1945, prisoners of Sachsenhausen, Dachau and Ravensbruck were also released. In memory of this significant event, a book review exhibition will be organized in the library.
