Yalkyn is a monthly Tatar magazine for children of middle and high school age. It has been published since 1924. In 1924, the Tatarstan newspaper published an article by Musa Jalil about the need to publish a magazine for children aged 9-14.

 

 The magazine is aimed at teenagers aged 10-16, focusing on their lives, interests and problems. Didactic materials and literary works are printed. With its publications on culture and art, Yalkyn strives to educate the artistic taste of the younger generation. A large place is given to materials about idols of youth, interviews with prominent representatives of Tatar culture.
