"Chayan" (Russian: "Scorpion") is a Soviet, then Russian Tatar literary and artistic weekly magazine of satire and humor, founded in 1923. It is published in Russian and Tatar. It has been published in Tatar since January 1923, in Russian since 1956. The date of birth of the magazine is January 1923. The first issues looked modest: they were black and white and they were dominated by texts. However, over time, he gathered many Tatar cartoonists to illustrate his pages. Some of them are: Gusman Arslanov, N. Khristenko, G. Polyakov, D. Krasilnikov, G. Yusupov, M. Amirov.
