The beginning of December is traditionally celebrated as the Decade of the Disabled. It is timed to coincide with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which, by decision of the United Nations Organization, has been celebrated since 1993 on December 3. The Decade of Disabled People is held in order to attract public attention to the problems of people with disabilities, as well as to change the established opinion about disabled people as people who are inferior and unable to live in modern society. An exhibition of handmade works by people with disabilities will be organized in the Betka Rural Library.
