These Chernobyl memories of ours are not only a desire to recall the history of the disaster that happened more than 30 years ago, but also a desire to bow our heads to the people who endured that terrible disaster on their shoulders… We also remember the millions of people whose rivers, lakes, arable land and gardens were covered in April 1986 with radioactive dust and ashes from a blazing bonfire at the fourth block of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.We also remember the heroes of the battle with that disaster — firefighters, military personnel and reservists, academics and ordinary specialists, engineers, miners, chemists and dosimetrists, biologists and doctors — all those who eliminated the consequences of the explosion and radioactive contamination
