Dictionaries and Encyclopedias Day is celebrated annually on November 22. For the first time, the celebration of this day took place in 2010 on the initiative of the Society of Lovers of Russian Literature and the V. I. Dahl Museum. November 22 was not chosen by chance. It was on this day that the great Russian lexicographer Vladimir Ivanovich Dahl (1801-1872) was born — the author of the "Explanatory Dictionary of the living Great Russian language".

Encyclopedias and dictionaries help you find information about past and present events, dates, facts, figures, names, names, etc. And when you need an answer to a question – these are the first assistants! An exhibition of dictionaries and encyclopedias is planned to be held by this date.
