Gabdulla Tukay was born in Tatarstan, in the village of Kushlauch near Kazan. The boy was five months old when his father died, and three years later his mother also died. At first, the future poet was transferred to the family of his maternal grandfather. Another child was not welcome there. “I cried - there was no one to console me,” the poet later recalled, “he tried to caress him - there was no one to caress him, he wanted to eat, drink - there was no one to feel sorry for - everyone pushed him away and pushed him away.” At the age of six, Gabdulla was taken by a peasant from a neighboring village. The new family accepted the boy well, here they loved him and raised him as their own, taught him to read and write. . A book exhibition in honor of the poet will be organized at the library.
