In the Russian Federation, the Day of Memory and Sorrow has been celebrated since 1996 - on June 8, 1996, a Decree of the President of the Russian Federation was issued establishing June 22 as the Day of Memory and Sorrow. A minute of silence will be held in the Nizhnesuyksinsky rural settlement near the monument to the unknown soldier.
