March 8 is International Women's Day. The date has been celebrated in dozens of countries around the world for more than 100 years. On International Women's Day (sometimes also called World Women's Day, Women's Wrestling Day, World Women's Day, or simply Women's Day), women around the world demonstrate for equal rights and against discrimination against women. In Russia, March 8 is just a holiday that is dedicated to women of all ages, it is customary to glorify motherhood and encourage women who have shown themselves in any direction of public life.
