On April 2, the day of unity of the peoples of Belarus and Russia is celebrated. It was on this day in 1996 that the Presidents of Russia and Belarus signed in Moscow an agreement on the formation of a Community of Belarus and Russia based on the principles of sovereignty and equality. The Day of Unity of Peoples is based on the memory and experience of past generations of Belarusians and Russians, and at the same time is aimed at the future, symbolizing the hope that our peoples will never break their fraternal ties.
