On April 12, the whole world celebrates Aviation and Cosmonautics Day. This festive date was set to commemorate the first space flight performed by Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin on April 12, 1961, on the Vostok-1 spacecraft. This is a real holiday that unites people from all over the Earth in a single desire to know what is beyond its borders. The village library will host a book and illustrative exhibition "Heroes of Star Roads" dedicated to the achievements of Soviet and Russian cosmonautics, the fantastic path that it has taken since the day of the first human flight into space. The books presented at this exhibition tell about those who have worked and are working for the common good of mankind: they create models of flying aircraft and spacecraft, depict on paper an astronaut in a spacesuit floating in airless space or exploring other worlds, draw the fantastic beauty of the cosmic sky and much more.
